5 weeks and 1 day

Oh wow, I cannot believe that its already been this long. Five whole weeks have gone by since I gave birth to the greatest gift God could have given me. Zachary is getting bigger. I took him to have a hearing test last week, he failed it again, however, his pediatrician checked his ear and said that his canal is curved. She said that is probably why he keeps failing the test, because they can't get a correct reading on the ear. She said, at this point, she would worry more about the price of diapers than my son not being able to hear. Haha! She's a fantastic doctor, I love her to death, and  Zachary seems to like her too, even though she pokes and prods him when we go in. I go for my six week follow up visit with the obgyn next Thursday, my doctor isn't going to be there, but I am sure the one that I will see is going to be just fine. Next month we have to go to the health department to get shots for Zach. That doesn't exactly thrill me, but I guess it's better to have vaccines than to worry about him getting the diseases that they are vaccinating him for. I did get him going on social security, so that he has a social security number. It took some running around, but I did it. They said should be maximum 6 weeks before he'll have a number.  So anyway, those are things I have to look forward to. Pretty soon we'll have to go back to JcPenney to get three month pictures done. Dang how the time flies. I certainly intend to spend every moment I can enjoying the ups and downs of being a parent. I really feel blessed that I have this opportunity. As far as the weight loss goes, I'm a little heavier than my goal, but as with everything else, with excercise and determination I will achieve what I am after. :) That's all for now, God bless and have a GREAT day.

19 days

Boy where has the time gone. It sure doesn't seem like almost three weeks ago I gave birth to this little human being. We are kind of on a schedule of some sort. We get up about every 3 to 4 hours to eat 3oz. of formula. Well, he eats, Brandon and I sit and hold the bottle and wait for burping sessions lol. Zachary sure has enjoyed all the attention he's gotten from all the grandparents, and friends that have come to see him. Sunday Ben brought the girls down to see him while he helped Brandon unload the rental truck for my mom. We sure did alot of moving this weekend, and I'm grateful for all the help that we got from everyone. I know my mom is grateful too. Anyway, Zachary is growing, the doctor praises him every time she sees him. We have to go have his hearing test redone on the 7th of July, so hopefully he passes this time. Will update :) God Bless, and hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July weekend.

He's here!

Went to the hospital at 4:00pm on Wednesday afternoon after feeling yucky all day, and throwing up. After a sonogram was done the dr decided that it was going to be okay to just go ahead and induce labor. So they admitted me, and started me on pitocin. Wednesday night was miserable, labor pains and having to run to the bathroom constantly just plain sucks. By morning there was still no change, they kept increasing the pitocin and the pains started getting more intense. by 11:00am I had finally dialated enough to get an epideral. After the epideral was in I went from 3-5 in an hr. and it kept going which I was thankful for since the epideral was helping me not have to suffer. Finally around 5:30 I started getting that feeling that it was time, so they had to call the dr, who was in the middle of an emergency c-section of a baby in distress. So i pushed for a little bit w/out him, by the time he got there i was just ready to get him out. Zachary was born Thursday June 12th 2008 at 6:35pm he weighed 7lbs, 6oz. in 19.5 inches long and has a full head of black hair. He is truly our little miracle baby. Brandon and I are so grateful to God for this gift. And now the real fun begins....
